This LibGuide is intended to provide health and social services resources to the transgender community. Feel free to provide feedback and suggest resources.

Local Organizations and Centers

Arianna's Center-Arianna's Center engages, empowers and lifts up the trans community of South Florida. We place a special emphasis on the most marginalized, including the Trans Latinx community, undocumented immigrants, people living with HIV and AIDS, and those who have experienced incarceration.

Care Resource-Care Resource provides a variety of services for the transgender community, including, but not limited to: primary care, hormone therapy, mental/substance abuse treatment, dental, case management, and a name change clinic. 

Latinos Salud-Latinos Salud was founded in 2008 to create a safe space for Latino gay guys and their partners to find friends, support, and resources.

Pridelines-Supports, educates and empowers South Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and the community at large in safe and diverse environments through affirming programs and services to promote dialogue, wellness and foster social change.

Pride Center Florida- provides information, news and events that affect the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender) community. 

SunServe-A nonprofit social services agency serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) community in South Florida. They provide high quality, culturally relevant care for all with an emphasis on those in financial need, minorities, youth, seniors, HIV+ persons, and those with life-challenging physical or emotional conditions. They also offer education and training services.

Survivors Pathway-Survivors' Pathway is a non for profit organization created with the purpose of promoting equality, inclusiveness and social action through counseling and advocacy services for the L.G.B.T.Q.I and Latino communities, survivors of domestic violence, intimate partner abuse, sexual abuse, human trafficking and other types of victimization.

T- House-The mission of T-HOUSE is to benefit Transgender and gender-questioning residents of Broward County by: Providing quality information regarding HIV testing, HIV/AIDS related services and providers Providing problem-resolution and service-linkage assistance regarding service access Providing important Transgender community information regarding events, activities and news features, and Providing cultural competency training to service providers so they have the tools to address the needs of transgender clients.

TransLatina Coalition-The Trans-Latin@ Coalition is an organization form by Trans Latin@  immigrant leaders who have come together in 2009 to organize and advocate for  the needs of Trans Latin@s who are immigrants and reside in the US. Since its  inception The Trans-Latin@ Coalition has done advocacy work across the US to  ensure the voices of Trans-Latin@ immigrant are heard. The Trans-Latin@  Coalition sole purpose is to address the unique and specific challenges and  needs of Trans-Latin@s who are immigrants. Working with policy makers and  supporting organizations we find solutions to our unique needs and create  structural changes to better our quality of  life.

TransSocial South Florida- TransSOCIAL South Florida was created to promote unity within the Transgender community, and to increase Trans visibility and understanding in our surrounding communities. We provide links to local support group meetings, services and resources through a centralized events calendar. We aslo host social gatherings and educational events to benefit our community. 

Yes Institute-Their mission is to prevent suicide and ensure the healthy development of all youth through powerful communication and education on gender and orientation.
