HOW TO: Zoom with Us (Instructions)

Web conference with us from anywhere. We use Zoom which allows for screen-sharing.

Steps for joining a meeting

You can use Zoom on an as-needed basis if you get an invite and don't have it on your computer yet.
 
  • Step 1: accept the invite (this can be done 1 of 3 ways)
    • If we give you a meeting IDgo to https://zoom.us, click "Join a Meeting" and enter the correct meeting ID (ex 3053480680). If the meeting requires a password, you will be prompted to enter one. Often there will not be a password required for our meetings.
    • If we give you a link: clicking on the link we sent you (ex. https://fiu.zoom.us/j/3053480680) and enter a password if there is one. Again, we often do not require a password for our meetings.
    • If we have sent you a calendar invitationfollow the instructions with in the e-mail.
  • Step 2: use the client as prompted
    • If you haven't used Zoom before, download the Zoom client.
    • Even if you already have it installed on the computer, it will take you to an installation page. 
    • The way it downloads will depend on your operating system and your browser.
